Description: On October 17th, 2009 Greg Hildebrandt began painting this fabulous PINUP on a real 1943 P-38 Lightning airplane. These War Birds are fabulous pieces of our history. This commission was a real joy for Greg. He had wanted to paint on a WWII plane for many years. The finished painting on the nose cone of the P-38 WWII fighter took a little over a week to paint. It is our understanding that there are only 6 of these that are still flying. This is the only one with a pinup girl on the nose. She is #59 in Greg's American Beauties Series.
